Tour Diary: Citizens! (Part Six) • Neu • DIY Magazine

It’s been a few days since we last caught up with Citizens! but the band have been working away, keeping us up to date with all the latest happenings on their first ever UK headline tour. Today we hear about the band’s visit to Canterbury, a good pub and the best burger the world has ever seen. Apparently.

Pac Man and CITIZENS! Rocking worlds together since 2011. All of the support bands tonight were lovely and we pay tribute to them here.

Here we see Grant rocking out so fucking hard that it’s impossible for the human eye to focus.

It seems like an unassuming pub, but by 11pm it would be a temple to rock and roll.

Tonight was the best tour food by far. We were taken to a place called the picture house down a pretty cobbled street and given the GREATEST burger the world had ever seen. The Onion Rings were crispy, the fries were to die for and the burger was the kind of thing Chaucer would have written about in one of his tales. Sadly he’s gone so we’re going to have to talk about it here. IT WAS AMAZING.

It was so good it defeated Martyn.

And that was Canterbury. One of the best gigs of the show, and lots of love and respect from some wonderful people. I will leave the last word to Thom Rhoades CHATEAU!!
