Citizens! unveil new track, ‘Lighten Up’, from forthcoming album

Citizens! have revealed the first track to be taken from their forthcoming second album, due out spring 2015 through Kitsuné / Sony Red. The song’s called ‘Lighten Up’, and you can watch the interactive video at citizenscitizens.com/lightenup.

‘Lighten Up’ was recorded as part of the album sessions with producer Laurent d’Herbecourt, and the video allows fans to choose different interpretations of the track, with the number of beats tapped throughout unlocking exclusive content such as live broadcast, tracklistings and premieres.

The band will play a London show at XOYO prior to the album’s release, on 16th April. Tickets will go on general sale from Friday 5th December. They’ve then got a handful of shows in Europe:
