Citizens! hit London for the penultimate entry in their tour diary for DIY. Complete with photos, here’s what happened when the Kistune signings were let loose in the big smoke.

Back to the capital today to play the lovely Geek Out Club Night in Camden and also to record a Bands In Transit session with Jon Kennedy. The location is a car wash in Camberwell. We somehow manage not to break into Hip Hop mode and start washing our car and squirting hoses at passing honeys.

Here is another band geek photo. It’s an RCA Ribbon Mic, courtesy of the lovely Nick Abbot, a fine sound engineer and friend. Two people are very excited now, everyone else can skip to the next photo. But stay a while and look. IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL. And Frank Sinatra probably used it. Probably.

The blue van in the background is run by Victoria, CITIZENS! newest fan and maker of some of the finest rice a band could ever need. She provided cold Coke Cola and Guiness Malt all day and then as we were packing up brought over some beautiful chilli rice which set us up perfectly for our gig that night. Merci Beacuoup Victoria.

And here we are driving to Camden for more adventures. Tom Rhoades face held in a beautiful silhouette by a sun slowly going to sleep over London’s waterlogged horizon. Ahhh.
