Video Twin Peaks visit tourist London

In search of “the men in the fuzzy hats” with the Chicago band.

If you’ve ever spent any time around the vicinity of the postcode beginning W1, then you’ve seen tourists. Hundreds, maybe thousands of them. Of which a pretty big percentage comes from the USA.

So, given that it was the first time in London for fuzzy, scuzzy Chicagoans Twin Peaks - who were over on our shores playing at London’s Rough Trade East and Dalston’s Birthdays earlier this month - what better way to introduce them to our fair isle than by taking them to see the place that all* visiting Americans flock to – Buckingham Palace. To meet the Queen, obviously.

From Trafalgar Square to that big clock face in Westminster, we took the foursome around some of central London’s most obvious tourist destinations. Watch the video of what went down.

The band’s second album ‘Wild Onion’ - which follows on from their 2013 debut ‘Sunken’ - was released last month via Communion Records. It also doubles as the band’s first to arrive on these shores, and packs together nostalgia-led, gnarly rock ’n roll.

*yes, all of them. We’re not at all exaggerating this for humour’s purpose.
