Festivals Who could/should replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury?

Florence to step up to the plate? A last-ditch Blur appearance? We get speculating.

Dave Grohl can do the impossible - break his leg and finish a gig in same heroic feat - but those painkillers weren’t going to last forever. Initially, the thought of Foos cancelling any shows post-injury were unfathomable. Dave’s made of steel, right? Then, a silence from their side led to speculation that they might not make all of their European dates. Emily Eavis said she was “not sure” if they’d get there. And earlier tonight, it was confirmed - Friday night’s Glasto headliners weren’t going to arrive in one piece.

It’s a massive shame for a band who’ve earned their stripes on the festival circuit without conquering Worthy Farm, but it’s also led to a last-minute flurry of excitement about a potential replacement. Organisers say they’ll be announcing a new headliner “shortly”. Ten days’ notice, two and a half hours to fill - it’s a big job. Without further ado, here’s who has the chops to step in.
