In the magazine May 2018

With Years & Years, Courtney Barnett, Parquet Courts and more.

This morning, Years & Years announced their return with news that the brilliant ‘Palo Santo’ - their second album - would be out this July. We did the sensible thing, then, and met up with Olly Alexander to chat all about it. That’s right - Years & Years are on the cover of the new issue of DIY!

Olly, Emre and Mikey are joined in the new issue - out tomorrow (27th April) - by Parquet Courts, who return with their finest moment yet on ‘Wide Awake!’, and Courtney Barnett, who lays it all on the line with ‘Tell Me How You Really Feel’.

Also in the new issue are Iceage, who evolve once again on ‘Beyondless’, and Peace, who are as enigmatic as ever on their third album ‘Kindness Is The New Rock And Roll’.

We also give the verdict on the new Arctic Monkeys album (spoiler: it’s quite a trip), catch up with Bastille for their re-orchestrated show at the Royal Albert Hall, and they come back with news of a new album(!), and dig into the solo career of Warpaint guitarist Theresa Wayman as TT.

In Neu, we profile New York’s wittiest, sharpest newcomers Bodega, Dutch riffers Canshaker Pi and the soon-to-be-huge OUTLYA.

The new issue comes out on Friday (27th April). You can pre-order a copy (or subscribe) below.
