California dreaming
Allison Crutchfield gets nostalgic in ‘I Don’t Ever Wanna Leave California’ video
It’s the latest single from the Swearin’ member’s debut solo album.

Allison Crutchfield – of Swearin’ and P.S. Eliot fame – announced plans to release her debut solo album ‘Tourist In This Town’ last year.
Since sharing lead single ‘Dean’s Room’, we haven’t heard much from her since, but perhaps that’s because she’s been holed up in the Golden State not wanting to budge. Well, she’s finally back with her latest track ‘I Don’t Ever Wanna Leave California’, a little lo-fi number where she waxes lyrical about the state.
In the video Allison’s perched on a rooftop in Brooklyn on a cold winter morning trying to pretend she’s back on the West Coast. Because she keeps “confusing love and nostalgia” though, she’s posed in front of a kinda tacky photo backdrop and a plastic palm tree. Symbolism!

Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
