Attu glisten into life with new ‘Hibernate’ track
Seasons change, but this London outfit are still beaming with their slick, synth-led pop.
London outfit Attu aren’t the type to crawl into their shells, so as the seasons change, Christmas decorations pop up at ungodly times, and winter jackets get panic purchased en masse, these guys will still be buzzing around with the remnants of summer on their backs.
The Stefan Antoinette-led group have recently expanded into all-out anthemic territory. Their ‘We Are Ordinary People’ single premiered on DIY back in July, arriving bang-on time for a heatwave that threatened to never leave. New track ‘Hibernate’ beckons in inevitable change, with melancholy lining the seams. Antoinette claims “I’ll let you down” to whoever’s listening in, with booming piano chimes and glistening synth lines doing the rest of the work. It’s perfect for arms-in-the-air, euphoric occasions, but that doesn’t prevent it from arriving in bittersweet form.
Attu’s new EP ‘We Are Ordinary People’ is out via Beatnik Creative on limited edition vinyl - purchase it here.
Watch the band live at London’s Waiting Room on 8th September (Tickets).
