Björk, FKA twigs, Arca & Jesse Kanda to play Manchester International Festival
2015 programme also includes Damon Albarn’s musical, ‘wonder.land’.
The 2015 programme for Manchester International Festival has been revealed.
Björk will take to a special one-off performance at Castlefield Arena - this is just her second confirmed UK appearance to date since the release of ‘Vulnicura’, the other being Wilderness Festival.
FKA twigs is taking over Granada Studios for a week-long residency, where she’ll be creating and directing short films.
As previously reported, Damon Albarn will be showcasing his new musical, ‘wonder.land’, which re-interprets the story of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. It’ll be making its worldwide debut at the festival.
There’s also ‘Tree of Codes’, a ballet directed by Wayne McGregor, backed by a score from Jamie xx.
