Watch Blondshell debut new track ‘Salad’ on Jimmy Fallon
The artist, aka Sabrina Teitelbaum, is releasing her debut album on Friday.
Blondshell premiered a new song ‘Salad’, live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (4th April) in her US TV debut.
The track is the latest single to be taken from her upcoming self-titled debut album, which is set to land on Friday (7th April), and is described in a press release as a “revenge fantasy of sorts”, telling the story of an imagined vigilante seeking justice after a friend’s abuser is cleared of his crime.
Speaking about her debut album, Blondshell said: “It’s hard to summarise what this album means to me. I was able to work through so much by writing and singing these songs. In a way I was also able to find my voice by finally saying these things out loud.
“I wasn’t intending to write an album as much as I was just trying to get relief from an intense and difficult time in my life. My biggest hope is that people can see the album for what it is: there’s no happy ending or ‘message,’’ it’s just a window into what it’s like when you’re trying to figure out who you are and what you want.”
Blondshell is set to embark on a UK and European tour next month, which includes shows at The Great Escape and Primavera Sound, on the following dates:
