Neu Pick
Cousin Kula return with swirling beast ‘Working For It’
The Bristol six-piece, who release their debut EP in November, are today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Cousin Kula.
Bristol-based six-piece Cousin Kula are releasing their debut EP in November, the culmination of a very exciting series of early singles from the psych-poppers.
Their latest cut, ‘Working For It’, is a swirling beast, and premiering on DIY as today’s Neu Pick.
Beginning with dream-pop bops of bass and dream-like synths, the track then picks up pace and adds stabs of almost video game-like keys not dissimilar to those peppered across Glass Animals’ ‘How To Be A Human Being’.
A standout in its own right, you feel ‘Working For It’ will make even more sense when nestled in amongst the band’s debut collection, and points towards great - if understated - things for the Bristol-based rabble.
