Dave takes a trip in the video for ‘Tequila’
The rapper heads to Los Angeles for his latest slick clip.
Hot on the heels of performances at Glastonbury and Wireless, rising London-born rapper Dave has dropped ‘Tequila’. That’s his new track, he hasn’t spilled his drink.
Produced by Fraser T Smith and 169 – both of whom were involved with Dave’s EP ‘Six Paths’ last year – the track was inspired by the artist’s first trip to Los Angeles, where it was written. Pretty fittingly for a track named after a particular spirit, it kicks off with elegant classical guitar before looping in some tricky beats for Dave to weave his slick rhymes over.
The accompanying video, directed by Dir. LX, was also shot around Los Angeles, and Dave seems to enjoy soaking up the summer sun. Hanging out around a luxurious whitewashed villa, he admires the pretty stunning view across the hills before taking a spin around the town at night.
