Ellie Goulding Confirms New Album Plans

The record is titled ‘Halcyon’ and it’s due this October.

Ellie Goulding will release her new album - the follow up to her 2010 debut, ‘Lights’ - on 8th October, she’s revealed.

The record is titled ‘Halcyon’, and it will be preceded by single ‘Anything Could Happen’, due on 30th September.

Speaking of the full-length, Goulding says: “This album for me is a journey from dark into light from confusion to understanding. I didn’t set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one.’

All the tracks on ‘Halcyon’ were written and co-produced by Goulding herself, with the majority recorded in a converted barn in her hometown in the Hay Valley with producer Jim Elliot (Kylie / Ladyhawke).

The first track from the LP, ‘Hanging On’, features Tinie Tempah and was made available as a free download earlier this year. Watch the video for it here.
