Field Day has announced its 2019 edition will take place in a brand new location.

After moving from Victoria Park in East London to South London’s Brockwell Park for last year’s festival, it’ll be moving to North London(ish) for next year’s festival, taking place in Meridian Water next summer on the 7th and 8th June.

The new location is situated on a former gas works next to Tottenham Marshes. The ten-acre site is comprised of four interlinked, giant warehouses, the largest of which has a capacity of 7500.

Luke Huxham, Field Day’s Festival Director, said: “2019 will mark the start of a new chapter for Field Day and a completely new type of festival for London. This new site will allow us to break down the restrictions that London festivals are normally faced with and deliver an unrivalled experience.”

“It’s hugely exciting to be working with such a pioneering council, who support our ideas and are focused on creating a new cultural hub for London. We can’t wait to unveil more of our plans in the coming weeks”.

Field Day is also partnering with the local Enfield Council for the festival, as part of a 20-year regeneration plan of the Meridian Water area, planning to turn the area into a area to transform into a cultural hub for nightlife, music, theatre and cinema.

Tickets for Field Day 2019 go on sale this Friday (23rd November).
