FKA Twigs choreographs dance scene in forthcoming thriller
‘Catch Me Daddy’ hits the theatre this week.

FKA twigs has choreographed a dance scene featured in the upcoming film ‘Catch Me Daddy’. The film is out in cinemas this weekend, with director Daniel Wolfe calling twigs’ contribution as “the heart of the film”.
A preview of her scene has been shared online, depicting the character Laila dancing to Patti Smith’s ‘Land’ as her boyfriend Aaron watches. The thriller’s plot is centred around the two lovers leaving home to escape her family’s strict values, taking up refuge in the Yorkshire moors
Twigs was asked to help out on the film after starring as a dancer in pop videos prior to her singing career. She offered guidance for actress Sameena Jabeen Ahmed, as director Daniel Wolfe explains:
“Sameena had never danced before, so we got Twigs to come up to Yorkshire, and she spent a couple of days with Sameena, and really helped her—even on a psychological level. Sameena had never danced, literally never danced, so Twigs was really brilliant with her, she helped her overcome that obstacle of being in your early 20s and dancing in a room full of people.”
