FKA twigs joins Bestival line up

FKA twigs has joined the line up for Bestival, where she’ll play alongside the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran, Tame Impala, Jungle, Flying Lotus and Future Islands.

The news follows the recent-ish release of her debut album ‘LP1’ which came out in August 2014, and was later nominated for the Mercury Prize.

“I picked up a white label record by an artist called twigs in 2012 and started playing it on my Radio 1 show,” says organiser Rob da Bank, “with no idea who or what was creating this fantastic sound…

“Three years on and it’s exciting to see FKA twigs breaking through, still forging such a leftfield sound and winning! We can’t wait to welcome her to Bestival’s Summer of Love 2015… and I’ve still got that white label!”

Bestival will take place from 10th - 13th September on the Isle of Wight. Tickets are on sale now.
