FKA twigs responds to racist trolls on Twitter

FKA twigs has been the target of racist abuse online, with the star issuing a response to comments on Twitter.

The Mercury Prize nominee has been the target of abuse from a handful of Robert Pattinson fans, whom Tahliah Barnett is rumoured to be dating.

Taking to Twitter, Barnett spoke out against the abuse she’s been receiving, stating: “I am genuinely shocked and disputed at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week. Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it’s unacceptable online,” she continued.

Her label, Young Turks, backed up twigs’ initial tweets with a message of support.

She takes to a UK tour this October.
