Frank Ocean’s brother talks the process of ‘Blonde’

Frank Ocean’s brother’s been through a lot during the making of that stupidly-long-awaited new album. Turns out the threats of kidnapping weren’t the half of it - he’s also not eaten in years.

Well, perhaps that’s an overstatement. But in a series of tweets, Ryan Breaux did reveal that his brother Frank is pretty crap at remembering to stick dinner on while he’s making music. “im glad its out,” Ryan posted, “bc when im @ the studio he gets focused and forgets to feed me and bring me home.” To be honest, Ryan, you can probably afford an Uber home. Maybe even a Deliveroo, to be honest.

He also revealed that Frank spent 16-hour days working on the various projects that make up his new release - visual album ‘Endless’, actual album ‘Blonde’, and accompanying magazine ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. In fairness, after 16 hours in a studio, we’d probably forget to pick up a sarnie too. Cut him some slack, mate.
