Frank Ocean Cancels European Dates
After walking off stage mid-set in Norway, the singer has cancelled his European tour including Bestival and V, adding he feels like an asshole”.”
Frank Ocean has cancelled the rest of his European tour, including a set at V festival and Bestival.
The singer, who walked off stage four songs into his set at Norway’s Oya festival on Friday with organisers citing he’d lost his voice, announced the news hours before he was due to perform at Way Out West festival in Sweden.
The Odd Future star, who attracted mass attention when he opened up about his sexuality last month ahead of the release of his No. 2 charting debut album ‘Channel Orange’, gave no definitive reason for the cancellation and said he felt ‘like an asshole’.
Ocean wrote: ‘Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot of the European leg of the Coldplay world tour. Sorry as fuck, I’ll be back if you’ll have me.’
Cancelled dates include nine support dates for Coldplay, V Festival, Bestival, Pukkelpop, and Rock en Seine.
