Frank Ocean legally changes his name
It’s official, Chris Breaux is no more after Ocean’s name change request was approved in Los Angeles.
In the lead up to the release of his new album - which is out in July - Frank Ocean has officially had his name changed. Yesterday in Los Angeles a judge approved the legal request, and from now on the man born as Chris Breaux will only go by the name of Frank Ocean.
Frank Ocean previously posted this picture on his official website, which fueled rumours that the new album will be titled ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ - as well as pissing off a load of 1800-Dinosaur fans. The follow-up to Ocean’s ‘channel ORANGE’ allegedly features guest contributions from producers Hit-Boy (Kanye West, Jay Z, Eminem) and Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child). In November, Ocean shared ‘Memrise’ which could also appear on the new record.
