Frank Ocean shares ‘Nikes’
Track arrives one day after the ‘Endless’ visual-album.
Another new day, and more new music from Frank Ocean.
One day after releasing visual album ‘Endless’, he’s dropped ‘Nikes’ and a slick, speed-racing video to boot.
It’s streaming now on Apple Music. The track itself is a twisted, distorted introduction to Frank Ocean’s new album, which is set to come out this weekend. The track begins with Frank saying “I got two versions, I got two versions,” and jagged minimalism rules the roost for three minutes. Lyrics include tributes to ASAP Yams, Pimp C and Trayvon Martin. Then Frank’s voice comes in, free of effects. Just a few listens in, but it’s very, very good - let’s be honest.

As reported by Rolling Stone, a second Frank Ocean album - following ‘Endless’ - is due out this weekend. It’s set to have a different title to the rumoured ‘Boys Don’t Cry’.
