Confirmed
Frank Ocean will feature on Chance The Rapper’s new album
André 3000 will also guest on his forthcoming release ‘Surf’
Chance The Rapper has confirmed that Frank Ocean, André 3000 and J. Cole will appear on his forthcoming album ‘Surf’.
In an interview with GQ recently, Chance has said that the album, a collaboration with Nico ‘Donnie Trumpet’ Segal and The Social Experiment (which Chance is a member of) is a “peaceful and positive extension of a real, grungey aesthetic.” ‘Surf’ stands as Chance The Rapper’s follow-up to his 2013 mixtape ‘Acid Rap’.
While a release date and tracklisting is still yet to be announced for ‘Surf’, one track titled ‘Sunday Candy’ is definitely set to feature. Other tracks that could feature include the recently-unveiled ‘No Better Blues’ and ‘Wonderful Day: Arthur’.
Chance The Rapper’s brief chat with GQ also revealed the influence of the theatre on ‘Surf’, stating: “The musical-theater aspect of the show that we want to do is a lot about exclusivity. I think creating a space that you can only see in the moment is really important.”
