Listen to Gorgeous Bully’s defiant new track ‘Patience’
The band are releasing new album ‘Closure’ via Bristol’s Breakfast Records in October.
Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Gorgeous Bully.
Gorgeous Bully - the project of Manchester-based Thomas Crang - are releasing new album ‘Closure’ via Bristol’s Breakfast Records in October, and their new single ‘Patience’ is our Neu Pick for today.
Set around a chunky, instantly catchy guitar riff, the track talks of inner struggles but projects them via brilliantly sunny instrumentation, contrasting light and dark perfectly.
Speaking about the track, Thomas says: “Patience is a song very dear to me; I wrote this when I was at my lowest, watching everyone around me growing and developing, doing the things they love as I seemed to stagnate. It was an attempt at convincing myself that if I could keep my head above water long enough, I would get mine.”
The band are set to play a release show for the new single at The White Rabbit in Bristol this Saturday (4th August) with support from DOGEYED, Langkamer and Gosa Vadd.
Listen to ‘Patience’ below.
