Graham Coxon Claims ‘There Will Definitely Be Another Blur Album’

Statement comes fifteen years since the band released their self-titled fifth album.

Graham Coxon has recently said, in an interview with The Daily Mail, that ‘there will definitely be another Blur album’.

His statement comes on the fifteenth anniversary of the release of their self-titled fifth album (which you can reminisce about here.)

Coxon told the newspaper, “We haven’t planned the rehearsals yet, but there will definitely be another Blur album.’

“2009 was an amazing healing experience for us. We were really swept away with it and got a lot out of our systems. We realised how much we still had in common, that we are good friends, that we are brothers.

“We’re always going to meet up and want to play things. We do like recording. Eventually, even if things aren’t around the corner, Blur will do more recordings together. We all love each other and still like making music so that’s not a bad start.”

Blur are getting ready to receive their BRIT Awards Outstanding Contribution To Music award later this month, where the band will also play at the ceremony.

Graham Coxon is also getting set to release his new solo album ‘A&E’, a track from which you can listen to right here, exclusively on DIY.
