Hear Modest Mouse’s new single ‘Lampshades On Fire’

Modest Mouse have finally unveiled the first song from their recently announced new album ‘Strangers To Ourselves’.

The track’s title, ‘Lampshades On Fire’, was teased in an Instagram post by the band of a 7” vinyl bearing the song’s name, and the band have been playing the song live for over three years.

A picture of the single’s cover was also posted on the site last week, making the band’s Instagram feed a good place to keep both eyes on in order to spot any further news regarding ‘Strangers To Ourselves’.

The new album is released on 3rd March, coming almost exactly eight years after the band’s fifth LP, 2007’s ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank’. Only a b-sides EP, ‘No-one’s First And You’re Next’ in 2009, has been released since.
