Holm shares the breezy indie rock of ‘Grow’
The new release on Tough Love Records is playing first on DIY.
Holm - aka Danish multi-instrumentalist Mikkel Holm-Silkjær - is releasing new EP ‘Dappled’ next month via Tough Love Records, and its latest preview, the breezy indie rock of ‘Grow’.
Talking about the track, Mikkel says: “Grow is a song about love and introvercy. In brief moments through life you neglect who you truly are for the sake of another person. Open up, let it all in, or don’t let go - but how does an introvert person express love? It’s a good question and one I ask myself often.”
Reminiscent of The Shins in its jangly, sunny manner, ‘Grow’ is a gorgeous, bright cut. “I’m growing up,” he repeats over and over, but there’s a brilliant youthfulness and momentum to the track.
Holm is set to play a handful of shows around the release of ‘Dappled’, including two London shows in mid-May.
