Holy Oysters open up with new ‘Take Me For A Ride’ track
Synth-laced psych-pop is the modus operandi for this new group.

With Gengahr and Unknown Mortal Orchestra having led the way in this summer’s hit-parade, the soil is fertile for a whole new generation of young bands built on falsetto and bubbling melodies. Enter psych-poppers Holy Oysters, who are shedding their shells and exposing the pearls of pop within with their infectious new track ‘Take Me For A Ride’ - premiering on DIY below.
Sugar-sweet vocals lead the way atop a hop-skip bassline - fronted by an ebb-and-flow of bubble-popping synths, it’s an exciting introduction to a group who’ve clearly spent their summer bathing in the same shimmering pools as Tame Impala and their psychedelic ilk.
Check out the track below, and if you find yourself en France, you can catch the band at the following dates:
OCTOBER
16 Mama Festival, La Foule
NOVEMBER
17 Howl Festival, Gaïté Lyrique
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
