Hot Chip confirm new album ‘Why Make Sense?’, stream ‘Huarache Lights’
Band have also announced a trio of live dates.
Hot Chip have announced details of their new album, ‘Why Make Sense?’. They’re also streaming a new track, ‘Huarache Lights’.
The new LP was previewed last Friday with a teaser video lasting just a couple of seconds - the booming-speaker imagery of that clip links up with the new track, streaming below. It couples together Alexis Taylor’s customary smooth vocals with direct nods to house and spoken-word samples that could’ve been lifted straight from the early-‘90s rave era.
‘Why Make Sense?’ is out 18th May 2015 - it’s their sixth LP, following 2012’s ‘In Our Heads’. Pre-order here. A separate EP of four tracks from the LP sessions is available on iTunes now.
