Imagine if there was a band called Jurassic Pop who exclusively wrote songs about Jurassic Park

Dinosaurs. Everyone loves Dinosaurs. Especially today - with the new Jurassic World film in cinemas. So, imagine if you could take said film - or more accurately, the series from which it cames, and then add all that awesome to a band. That would be good, right?

If that sounds like a good idea, you’re in luck. Jurassic Pop do just that, writing songs about Jurassic Park and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. Quite why more bands don’t do that is beyond us.

With an EP called - yes, we haven’t made this up - ‘Jurassic Park 5: The Erotic Adventures of Jeff Goldblum’, featuring guest slots from the likes of Art Brut’s Eddie Argos, Sam Duckworth and QI’s Dan Schrieber, the four track effort is basically the concept record you always wanted to make. Be honest.

You can stream the first track, ‘Whoever You Are, Whoever You’re With, You Must ALWAYS Make Time To Get With Jeff’ below (Eddie’s bit is a particular highlight. “THERE ARE RAPTORS ALL UP IN THE KITCHEN, PHIL! THE GOD DAMN KITCHEN!” - Ed).
