Jack Peñate is still alive, says he’s finishing his new album

With Tom Vek and Jamie T eventually returning from the abyss, the focus is firmly on Jack Peñate as being ‘indie’s biggest runaway’, someone who’s barely tweeted in the past six years, let alone released a piece of music.

Peñate’s last album was 2009’s ‘Everything Is New’, with just the one song - 2012’s ‘No One Lied’ - coming out between then and now.

However, the Londoner has given an update to fans, confirming that he’s in the process of finishing his third album.

Tweeting to fans, he said he gets messages about releasing new music, and that he’ll finally have something to share soon.
