Jack River races ahead on ‘Fault Line’
The Australian alt-pop singer has a racing-themed video for her latest single.

At the tail end of 2016, Jack River released her debut EP ‘Highway Songs No. 2’ (and got herself an apt road-hitting video for ‘Palo Alto’ along the way).
Now the Australian alt-pop singer is back with a huge new single, ‘Fault Line’. It was written while she was at a house party; she penned the track alone in her room while the partying was happening around her and, perhaps unsurprisingly, it harnesses equal levels of sweet and sour, with a big hook waiting in the mix.
Jack said of the track: “I was deep in a really dark time in my world, I wanted to capture the fragility of walking around your mind in the dark, and then exploding into emotion and regret when you surface. At the same time, I felt this need to lean into some kind of teenage dream to distract myself from the sadness of it all. That’s where the production comes in”.
She’s also shared a video for the single, directed by Matt Sav, which centres on a racing-based love affair.

Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
