Some-wine great
James Murphy is opening a wine bar in New York
The LCD Soundsystem maestro’s new bar, The Four Horsemen, opens up in Williamsburg next month.

James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem is opening a new wine bar in Williamsburg, in the Brooklyn district of New York.
The Four Horsemen will open its doors in June, serving 350 variations of plonk. Luckily, it’ll also be serving food. The new venture is in partnership with Murphy’s wife, Christina Topsoe, with a “strong emphasis on natural wines, which are ideally allowed to ferment with minimal human manipulation.” Fancy stuff.
Speaking to The New York Times ahead of the opening, Murphy said that his decision to open the bar was because he needed “something with really low margins, high risk, brutal hours and which I have no experience at.”
This might be James Murphy’s first attempt at the wine trade, but lets hope he can organise a piss-up in a brewery. Listen to LCD Soundsystem’s appropriately named ‘Drunk Girls’ below.
