James Murphy shares new cut from While We’re Young soundtrack

The LCD Soundsystem frontman has put together the score for the new Noah Baumbach-directed film.

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy is pretty good at keeping himself busy these days and he’s now unveiled a first taste of his latest project, the score for forthcoming film While We’re Young.

Directed by Noah Baumbach and starring Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, and Adam Driver, the forthcoming feature-length is, unsurprisingly, set to have quite the soundtrack: not only does it feature a handful of Murphy’s own tracks, it also boasts appearances from Haim, Paul McCartney and A Tribe Called Quest, as well as an instrumental version of David Bowie’s ‘Golden Years’.

Now, Murphy has unveiled the first taste from the score in the form of ‘Only The Stars Above Welcome Me Home’, which you can hear over at Pitchfork now.
