James Murphy to release film soundtrack in March

OST is for Noah Baumbach’s film ‘While We’re Young’

James Murphy’s original score for ‘While We’re Young’ will be released 23rd March on Milan Records. The upcoming film by Noah Baumbach sees Murphy overseeing the soundtrack after their work together on 2010’s ‘Greenberg’.

The film stars Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried and Beastie Boys member Ad-Rock. It roughly follows Stiller and Watts as a middle aged couple, hanging out with a younger couple in an attempt to recapture their youth.

The 14 track album will feature original tracks from Murphy, in addition to tracks by Haim, Paul McCartney and Wings, A Tribe Called Quest and more. There will also be an instrumental recording of David Bowie’s ‘Golden Years’ which opens the album.
