James Murphy has given an update on the LCD Soundsystem album

You know that really tiny matter of a new LCD Soundsystem on the horizon? Well, James Murphy has just given an equally tiny update on how things are coming along.

The new album has been in the pipeline after LCD signed a major record deal with Columbia and cancelled tour dates to work on music. With them playing a good few dates this year (including at Louisville’s Forecastle Festival in July) it could be set to drop sometime in 2017.

A fan asked on Facebook about progress on the new record, and Murphy responded: “Sure. Still working on it, but it’ll be done soon. Winter tends to mess with my voice, so finishing the thing drags out.” Guess he’s not one for just drinking hot water and lemon then.
