Jaws of Love. aka Local Natives’ Kelcey Ayer shares ‘Love Me Like I’m Gone’
His album ‘Tasha Sits Close To The Piano’ is out next month.
Last month, Local Natives’ Kelcey Ayer stepped out on his own, adopting the moniker Jaws of Love. and announcing a brand new album.
‘Tasha Sits Close To The Piano’ is due out on 22nd September and, speaking of the record, Kelcey said at the time: “I’ve grown to realise that even in the most amazing relationships there are turbulent times and misunderstandings that are unavoidable. And that doesn’t mean that anything is doomed, but love is such a complicated thing. The idea of ‘jaws of love’ felt so perfect for this project because it’s all about love’s trials and tribulations”.
After sharing an eponymously-titled track at the time, Kelcey’s back with another slice from the album. ‘Love Me Like I’m Gone’ is a sensitive and contemplative number driven by Kelcey’s wistful vocals and intricate, folk-inspired guitar melodies. Fun fact: it’s also been featured on Will Arnett’s show ‘Flaked’.
