Joan As Police Woman takes a ride in her ‘Warning Bell’ video

Joan Wasser’s new album ‘Damned Devotion’ is out in February.

A couple of weeks ago, Joan As Police Woman announced that her new album ‘Damned Devotion’ wold be out on 9th February via Play It Again Sam.

At the same time, she shared the strikingly emotional lead single ‘Warning Bell’, which now has a new video from New York filmmaker and artist H Spencer Young. It captures Joan Wasser travelling through parts of New York on a rainy night. It’s shot mostly from inside the confines of her ride, creating an intimate feeling but also sometimes looks out to the city and its neon-lit locales.

Speaking of the video, Joan said: “Words mean different things to different people and it’s important to me to allow the listener to have images of their own. That being said, the weather cooperated with us that night - rain and moisture in the air has always made me thoughtful. We wanted to capture the mystery of New York City while driving through Chinatown and parts of Brooklyn that hold deep meaning for me”.

Joan is also set to head on a UK tour in April in support of ‘Damned Devotion’. She’ll head to Glasgow, Gateshead, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Brighton, Manchester and Bristol along the way.
