Jorja Smith wins BRITs Critics Choice award
The Class Of 2017 star was up against Mabel and Stefflon Don.

Last week, the BRITs Critics Choice nominees were revealed, with Jorja Smith, Mabel and Stefflon Don all up for the nod.
This morning (4th December), Jorja Smith has been announced as the winner, ahead of the 2018 BRIT Awards, taking place at London’s O2 Arena on 21st February next year.
The Class Of 2017 star most recently shared new single ‘On My Mind’ back in summer, and is set to head out on a huge UK tour next year, including two sold out shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Speaking of the BRITs nod in a press release, Jorja says: “I cannot believe it, it’s been an unforgettable 2017 during which I’ve fulfilled so many of my dreams and this is such a special way to end the year… and to be part of an all female shortlist alongside Mabel and Stefflon Don, who’ve both had incredible 2017s, makes it even better!
“There’s lots more to come in 2018 from all of us and I will do my best to make it another memorable year!”
