Jorja Smith gets nostalgic in the video for ‘On My Mind’

Last week Jorja Smith followed up her singles ‘Teenage Fantasy’ and ‘Beautiful Little Fools’ with ‘On My Mind’, an upbeat number featuring Preditah.

Talking about the track at the time, she said: “I wrote this song two years ago before moving to London. It’s fun, writing it reminded me of being at school and finishing my exams”. Well, that feeling of nostalgia is captured in its brand new video, which sees Jorja capturing the spirit of some of her younger days – even if it wasn’t shot in Walsall.

Instead, it was filmed in a council flat in London, and sees her and her mates dressed in 90s-styled tracksuits and hanging out in the flat, as well as spinning a few tunes. Look closely and you might spot Kurupt FM in there too!

Speaking of the video, Jorja said: “Even though it wasn’t shot in Walsall, the video gave me a very nostalgic feel of being at home. It reminds me of times spent chilling in my friends’ flat. We all had such a fun day shooting; the video reflects the mood of the song. Very alive”.
