Jorja Smith has shared a startling new single, ‘Something in the Way’.
The Walsall-raised star broke out earlier this year with ‘Blue Lights’, and chances are she’ll be ‘in the mix’ for next year’s BBC Sound of 2017.
Before all that hoo-hah, she’s putting out a new EP titled ‘Project 11’. Streaming below, ‘Something in the Way’ is the first song to be lifted from the release. Nodding to the strung-out soul of Jorja’s hero, Amy Winehouse, it debuted as a Hottest Record on Anne Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.
