LCD Soundsystem cover David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ at Coachella

Headline set also saw them giving a nod to Guns N’ Roses.

LCD Soundsystem made a heroic festival comeback last night (15th April), topping day one of Coachella Festival.

As part of their set, the band covered David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’; a tribute to the legendary musician who died in January. James Murphy had previously worked with Bowie on a remix of his ‘Love Is Lost’ track, back in 2013.

Tomorrow night’s Coachella headliners, Guns N’ Roses, also received a quick LCD tribute. As part of their performance of ‘New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down’, they squeezed in a version of ‘November Rain’.

Coachella continues tonight with sets from Guns N’ Roses, Grimes, Disclosure and SOPHIE. Calvin Harris closes the final night of weekend one, joined by The 1975 and Sia. The festival is being live-streamed all weekend.
