LCD Soundsystem are teasing a new VR project

‘Dance Tonite’ is linked to new LCD track ‘Tonite’, a recent staple of their live set.

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy revealed last week that the band’s new album was completely finished, and that it could be released in as little as six weeks.Now, teasers have been shared to indicate the band are linked with a new VR project called Dance Tonite, debuted as part of a Google I/O conference. The project was allegedly premiered alongside a new LCD track, ‘Tonite’, which they first played as part of their Brooklyn Steel residency back in April.Clips from the premiere have now been shared online, along with a new website, www.tonite.dance. The site reveals that the “ever-changing VR experience” is out this summer.Last month, LCD Soundsystem shared ‘call the police’ and ‘american dream’, the first two songs to be taken from their comeback album, the first since 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’.View the posts previewing ‘Dance Tonite’ below.
