Lily Allen’s ITNO record label has folded

Back in 2011, Lily Allen set up her own label - ITNO (In the Name of) - in collaboration with Sony Music U.K. As of today (21st November), this label has since folded, according to Billboard.

ITNO was responsible for picking up Tom Odell ahead of the release of his Columbia debut ‘Long Way Down’.

In the States, ITNO released Cults’ self-titled debut album back in 2011.

Allen is reported to have earned around £100,000 per year for her work with ITNO. A spokesperson confirmed to Billboard that the label was no longer operation, claiming that Lily’s work in the industry will continue with another project. “Lily will shortly be announcing a new signing/consulting role for another label and meantime is very happy that Tom Odell’s records will be released on Columbia, who were the distributors for ITNO. Further details of Lily’s new venture will be made available in due course,” they said.

2014 saw Lily Allen releasing her returning LP ‘Sheezus’. She went on to headline the opening night of Latitude Festival 2014.
