Listen: A Sunny Day In Glasgow Preview New Album With ‘Crushin’’

New album ‘Sea When Absent’ arrives this June via Lefse Records.

At the very beginning of 2014, A Sunny Day In Glasgow announced their return, four years on from 2010’s ‘Autumn, Again’.

Now’s the turn of ‘Crushin”, a take from the group’s new LP ‘Sea When Absent’, which comes out through Lefse Records on 24th June. Previous song ‘In Love With Useless’ gave justice to the group’s four year absence, and again ‘Crushin” sounds more like something meticulously constructed than a product of spontaneous jamming. Separate parts picked out of different worlds match up like odd couples - it’s a little like the Sia kissing video, in reality; strangers being asked to get to know each other very, very quickly. In sum it works, the piece bringing together loosely linked gems.
