Listen: Elder Island Announce Debut EP, Stream ‘What It’s Worth’
Bristol trio give pop a crazed new cause, with a debut EP out this June via Four Thieves.

Kicking into gear with unhinged, hand-clapping confidence, Bristol trio Elder Island are previewing their debut EP with a new track, ‘What It’s Worth’. As an introduction, it’s a bedazzling one, splintering off into all kinds of severe directions, almost intentionally avoiding being pegged in.
Out 30th June, the debut, self-titled work comes out through Four Thieves Records. It sees the trio (Katy Sargent, David Havard and Luke Thornton) linking opposite parts together; soul-spliced vocals, playful synths and barely-there percussion. So much within this song could be extracted into a fuller, more strung-out piece. Instead it’s like hearing several inspired ideas clashing heads in a life-risking stampede.
Elder Island, ‘What It’s Worth’:
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
