Grandmas House release latest single ‘Blue Oblivion’, announce debut album ‘Baby You’re A Winner’

Bristol’s Grandmas House have released their newest single ‘Blue Oblivion’ alongside the announcement of their debut album, ‘Baby You’re A Winner’.

The band’s first LP is set for release on 21st August via Brace Yourself Records and follows a tight run of EPs and singles that have established the quartet as a dominant force in taut yet expansive post-punk.

Speaking about their latest single, the group note how “writing ‘Blue Oblivion’ was a pivotal moment for us as a band as it made us realise that we didn’t have to write music within any boundaries. It opened up the way we would go on to write the rest of the album, encapsulating feelings of love and loss with a balance of light and dark.”

Alongside the release of ‘Baby You’re A Winner’, the group are embarking on a nationwide tour of UK record stores in support of the album next month, including two dates in their hometown of Bristol at Rough Trade and Forwards Festival.
