NZ pop sensation Lorde has unveiled a new track from her ‘Pure Heroine’ debut in the form of ‘Team’.
The song’s emerged at a time when new single ‘Royals’ is bothering the US charts and plotting its domination on these shores.
‘I’m kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air / so there’, runs the refrain of ‘Team’, a song defined by all-together handclaps and a ridiculous amount of catchy hooks.
‘i am in paris as i release this. every street we drive down makes my eyes pop with the most incredible things carved in stone, and gilded on pillars, and wrought with metal; the heroes and heroines of this city aren’t so hard to find,’ Elia Yelich O’Connor stated alongside the track on Youtube.
Lorde plays London Madame Jojos on 18th September.
Lorde’s debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ is due for release on 28th October via Virgin Records.
