Native Son unveils ‘Domme Kinderen’
It’s the latest glimpse into his forthcoming EP ‘Metro Dread’.
Unveiling his second single, following debut ‘Brown Water’, NYC-based artist Native Son is sharing new track ‘Domme Kinderen’.
Speaking on the song, he says, “Domme Kinderen a song I wrote after a Covid-era party; where people flirted through their masks and used their N95’s as excuses to do and say whatever they wanted. The line, “Dance with me, Domme Kinderen,” (Domme Kinderen being a phrase that means ‘silly children’ in Dutch) came to mind when a close friend who was chasing after a girl she’s been in love with for years; ended up being strung along with two other people at the party all chasing the same woman.”
Fusing elements ranging from alternative hip-hop to jazz and soul, his debut EP ‘Metro Dread’ was written and self-produced during lockdown in Brooklyn and is set to arrive on 28th October via Radio Silence.
