Liverpool Sound City: Wolf Alice: ‘I’ve Been Waiting For This Tour For So Long’
Wolf Alice are aiming to see Drenge, Royal Blood and Fuck Buttons at this year’s Sound City.

Midway through a month-long jaunt around the country, Wolf Alice arrive in Liverpool for this year’s Sound City festival.
The four-piece release their ‘Creature Songs’ EP via Dirty Hit this month, but this tour is something they’ve been counting down the days towards. ‘I feel like I’ve been waiting for this tour for so long,’ says drummer Joel Amey. ‘After doing [The 1975] and the Manic Street Preachers [support slots], it’ll be pretty cool to play small shows to people who actually know us,’ backs up Joff Oddie.
At Sound City, the band plan are making a list of acts to see. ‘Drenge are playing. Royal Blood were saying a minute ago they were on at 12,’ says Joff, before adding Fuck Buttons to the itinerary.
Wolf Alice play East Village Arts Club tonight (2nd May) at Liverpool Sound City, 10.15pm.
