Watch: Watch Lorde cover Kanye West in Chicago

She took on ‘Love Lockdown’ and ‘Runaway’ in Yeezy’s hometown.
The US leg of Lorde’s ‘Melodrama’ world tour hit Chicago last night (27th March), and after playing a whole series of cover versions across the tour, she took the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the city’s most famous sons.
“Thanks Chicago! It must be nice to come from the same place as Kanye West,” Ella Yelich-O’Connor told the crowd at the Allstate Arena, before performing versions of ‘Love Lockdown’ and ‘Runaway’.
Elsewhere on the tour - which also features Run The Jewels, Mitski and Tove Styrke - the singer has taken on a cover version of Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ highlight ‘Solo’.
The tour continues tonight in Detroit. Watch the ‘Love Lockdown’ and ‘Runaway’ covers below.
